MATERIALS: solid cherry, cherry-veneered particle board, Baltic birch plywood
DIMENSIONS: 35 1/8" long, 21 1/16" wide, and 16 1/6" tall
SURFACE TREATMENT: black-pigmented plant-based wax-oil
BRIEF
Design and fabricate a coffee table with a surface no larger than six square feet. It had to contain some type of storage (drawer, shelf, compartment), and had to include at least one veneered element.
INTENT
My goal was to make a minimalistic coffee table with drawers for a very small living/family room. The coffee table would have enough space underneath it to allow for easy vacuuming.

The design of the drawer face and handles was changed because the original design exceeded the maximum board footage of solid wood.
This was my first time making drawers - so it was amazing when I put them in for the first time and they fit perfectly. "I love it when a plan comes together".
Even though I made a ton of mistakes, overall, I'm happy with the coffee table.
